Season 4 of The Virginian had Betsy (Roberta Shore)
and Judge Garth (Lee J. Cobb) leave the show.

Betsy gets married to former minister David Henderson
at the beginning of Season 4 and leaves the show.

Replacing them were Morgan Starr (John Dehner) and Jennifer Sommers (Diane Roter).
They both briefly stayed. Filmed from 1965-66, Season 4 contained 30 episodes.

Season 5 of The Virginian introduced John Grainger (Charles Bickford), who was a great addition
to the show along with his grandchildren, Stacey (Don Quine) and Elizabeth (Sara Lane).

Filmed from 1966-67, Season 5 contained 29 episodes.

Remembering Sara Lane (1949-2023)





Sara Lane who played Elizabeth has died in March 2023. She was 74.
